Knights of Columbus
We are Knights. Men committed
to acting on our faith and helping the world.
Men whose strong dedication to serving the
Church is rooted in our humble beginnings.
The Knights of Columbus is guided by four
basic principles: charity, unity, fraternity,
and patriotism.
We are an active volunteer
organization that raises awareness for needy
causes and generates much-needed funds to
support a variety of charitable activities,
including support of our parish. Our members
worldwide have volunteered millions of hours
and raised over a billion dollars – all with
the intent of serving humanity.
Today, the Knights of Columbus
is the largest Catholic service organization
in the world. But we are not complacent. In
fact, we are tireless in our search for the
next generation of Knights, men of character
and conviction who are driven by their faith
and conscience to selflessly serve their families,
Church, and communities.
As a Knight you can make
an impact through enduring faith and unfaltering
fellowship. “Knowing that one man can make
a difference because one Man already has”.

The Catholic Women’s League of Canada is
a National Organization rooted in Gospel Values
calling its members to holiness through service
to God and the people.
Ladies from the CWL volunteer at St Vincent’s
Kitchen, Hillsdale Manor and Cedarcroft Senior’s
Centre and St. Vincent de Paul. Holy Communion
is taken to the sick and parishioners who
cannot come to church. Our ladies are generous
in providing funeral luncheons to bereaved
families. We have also held receptions for
various church events. We have bake sales,
bazaars and card parties. In the new year,
in conjunction with the Knight’s of Columbus,
we will work together on many more community
spirit events, ie. dinners, golf tournaments,
family picnics, etc.
We have exercised our right to speak out
against issues that affect our community.
We defend Christian education and morals and
hold an annual Public Speaking Contest. The
ladies look after many areas that make our
parish so beautiful, for example the flowers
and the altar linens. All of these activities
are wonderful and give members a sense of
fulfillment, but the most important area where
we want to grow is in our deeper commitment
to Christ. We achieve this in many ways; by
praying together, by attending retreats, conventions
and evenings of Spiritual Awareness.
